Based on the success of the trials in Stage 1, the SUSTAIN program moved to Stage 2 involving a pilot with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and one of the Federal Governments new Australian Technical Colleges (Sunshine-Melbourne) during 2007.
PwC piloted The Closed System methodology to assess the applicability of the program to the Corporate sector.
The program involved:
- training PwC Advisors in the Closed System
- developing a clear understanding of the value proposition and benefits for clients;
- assessing how the Closed System could be integrated and used with other PwC tools and methodologies;
- applying the Closed System internally;
- road-testing the Closed System with clients in Australia and internationally
The program proved very successful. An alliance between The Closed System and PwC will take the program to Stage 3 – involving a national and potentially, international roll-out in 2008-2010.
The Australian Technical Colleges are a Federal Government initiative to address the skills shortage in Australia. The Closed System ‘How to Sustain your Business’ program has assisted ATC Sunshine planning and organisational strategy. The Closed System is now being applied internally at ATC Sunshine to key staff through a Closed System license agreement.
It is planned to commence Stage 3 of SUSTAIN with ATC Sunshine in 2008 by applying The Closed System to key projects and curricula applications.
In the longer term, SUSTAIN is aimed at developing training packages and resource capabilities to service the corporate, educational and community sectors. |
